A traveler’s starting question
I am looking to fly to Paris early next year from Dulles airport (IAD) or Ronald Reagan airport (DCA).
Finna_travel, r/AmexPlatinum discussion
This traveler was asking about a January 2026 award trip, not a current fare. The useful planning question is which departure airport and complete routing fit the journey. Our guide concerns cash-quote comparisons and does not reuse the thread’s points prices.
Choose the arrival airport before choosing a fare
Write the Paris airport code into the final quote. A city search is useful for exploring choices, but your airport-to-hotel journey and any onward plans need a specific arrival point. Tell the team where you need to be and when.
If a proposal uses a different arrival airport from your original request, compare it as a different itinerary. Include the ground transfer and timing in the decision rather than assuming that two flights ending in the same city are interchangeable.
The airline name does not identify every seat
Air France’s current Business cabin page describes its new seat with a sliding door. Use that description to identify the features you want, then ask which configuration is scheduled on the proposed flight. Do not treat a product photograph as a seat confirmation.
For a partner-operated sector, look at the operating airline rather than only the marketing flight number. Record the cabin on your U.S. connection and on any flight beyond Paris. Compare the return direction independently too.
Compare the ticket terms as well as the cabin
La Compagnie also markets a New York–Paris business class product directly. Its offer page illustrates an important distinction: the displayed Smart Fare permits changes without a modification fee, subject to a fare adjustment, while remaining nonrefundable. A changeable ticket and a refundable ticket are different things.
Use the direct airline offer as a comparison if it fits your journey, then obtain the current terms for the exact departure. BBCT has not verified sellable inventory or a public fare for that offer. An airline’s advertised price is not a quote from BBCT.
Plan around your first day in Paris
Start with the fixed part of your arrival day: a meeting, onward train or accommodation plan. Ask the team to show local arrival dates and times, then allow for the airport process and ground journey. A flight that looks convenient in a fare table may not fit your day.
For a short stay, compare what each option gives you on the ground. For a longer visit, decide whether schedule flexibility or ticket flexibility matters more. The most useful proposal explains those differences alongside the price.
Keep the comparison on the same basis
Ask for two complete options when making a tradeoff. Do not compare one quote with baggage and flexible conditions against another quote whose terms are missing.
- Exact departure and arrival airports, flight numbers and local dates.
- Operating carrier and scheduled business product on each segment.
- Connection details, including any airport change.
- Total payable USD price, trip type and traveler basis.
- Baggage, seat selection, lounge eligibility and written change/refund terms.
How to use the Paris fare index
A public airline route page can default to economy and display recently collected examples. Those prices are not evidence of a business class offer available through BBCT. The dated Paris index below provides typical planning ranges from BusinessClassTravel.us. Current, date-specific quotes require the team to confirm the itinerary, complete total and public-use approval.
If you depart from the New York area, our route guide explains how to specify airports and compare cabin options. For another U.S. departure, share your city and acceptable connections with the team before the search.

Frequently asked questions
Do all Air France business class seats have doors?
Air France describes a new long-haul Business seat with a door. That does not establish the configuration on every flight. Ask for the seat map and aircraft details for your travel date before selecting a ticket.
Can I connect through Paris in business class?
Ask for the entire itinerary to be quoted with the cabin shown on every segment. Confirm the connection airport, terminal arrangements and operating airline. The seat and benefits on an onward flight can differ from the transatlantic experience.
Are public Paris route-page prices verified business class fares?
Not automatically. Check the cabin, dates and trip type beside the price. An economy example or an older search result is not a current BBCT business class quote. The team must confirm your specific itinerary and total.
