Do not turn an economy headline into a business fare
Air France’s route page labels its displayed examples by cabin, dates and trip type, and warns that recently collected fares may no longer be available. A city-pair page is useful evidence that an airline markets that journey; the headline number alone is not evidence of a business class offer.
Ask for a fresh search with business class selected. Keep the airline, airport codes, number of travelers and one-way or round-trip basis next to the quoted price. If an option changes, reprice the whole proposal before accepting it.
Set the airport and connection requirements
Tell the team which New York-area airports are acceptable and write the Paris airport into the itinerary. If you are traveling beyond Paris, include that destination in the original request. A separate onward booking and a through-ticket can create different responsibilities when plans change.
For a connection, ask whether it involves a terminal change, airport change or collecting and rechecking baggage. The cheapest total is not necessarily the option that best fits a short visit or an important appointment.
Make cabin comparisons specific
Read the operating airline on each segment, especially with partner or codeshare flights. Ask for the seat layout and identify any sector that is not in the requested cabin. A short domestic connection may have a different seat from the transatlantic sector.
When comparing Delta-operated options, read the Delta One fare experience as well as the cabin. Airport benefits and flexibility can depend on the purchased fare and travel date.
