Haneda and Narita are separate itinerary choices
Japan Airlines’ Los Angeles–Tokyo route page includes examples for both HND and NRT. Its displayed economy examples are not business class quotes. Ask the team to price the requested cabin and spell out the arrival airport in the proposal.
Work from where you need to be after landing. Include your accommodation area or onward flight, and compare the transfer arrangements before deciding between airports. If you have a connection in Japan, check whether the proposed trip stays at one airport.
Compare the seat, not just the airline
If ANA is among the options, ask whether the specific configuration is THE Room or another business product. An ANA booking does not by itself establish THE Room. For any airline, use the seat map for the exact flight and date.
For the return journey, make the same checks again. Record whether the proposed seat has the features you value, such as aisle access or a privacy door, and distinguish a scheduled product from a guarantee.
Make a long journey easier to assess
Put local departure and arrival dates in the quote, not just times. For an onward connection, include the next flight in the same review so there is no ambiguity about which day it departs. If flexibility matters, ask for a second complete itinerary with its own conditions.
When planning for two travelers, tell the team whether sitting together is a requirement or a preference. Ask whether seats can be selected before ticketing and what happens if your preferred pair is unavailable.

Does Tokyo in a search mean Haneda?
Not necessarily. Use HND for Haneda, NRT for Narita, or clearly state that either airport is acceptable. Confirm the airport on the final quote.
